The customary code of polite behaviour among members of a particular profession or group.

If you’re thinking of buying either the paper copy or the online course, it’s probably for three main reasons –

You are a new apprentice.

You want to improve and mature.

You’re totally out of your depth!

Let me tell you why I’ve written this course:

One word – FEAR.

Let’s be honest, school was easy wasn’t it. The 8 till 4 days, 6 weeks summer holiday and endless inset days has become a distant and blissful memory. Now though, here we are in the big wide world with work to do.

The one emotion I remember feeling on my very first day on site was fear. It was like something out of a movie. Huge machinery racing around the muddy roads, important looking blokes pointing at buildings whilst holding complicated plans and hundreds of tradesmen working around it all. There I am, following the foreman to the site office ready for my first induction wearing my brand new boots, pristine hard hat and a shiny new hi vis jacket. I must’ve looked like a right muppet – completely clueless!

You’ve either had this experience, or you have it coming. Either way, the fear, anxiety and embarrassment doesn’t stop after day one!

There are so many things I wish I’d known before I started my apprenticeship. So I’ve saved you the trouble and compiled all the knowledge and experience I’ve gained, along with research taken from online studies, conversations with big business owners and individual tradesmen into this course.

What’s the difference?

What’s the difference between the paper copy and the online course?

Quite a bit.

The paper copy contains all eleven lessons plus the huge review section in lesson twelve. You also get plenty of room to write notes and any thoughts you have while reading it.

The online course has all this, with the addition of two to three videos per lesson featuring, you guessed it, me! The videos go into extra detail about certain points of the lesson and help to further your understanding of the most important areas of the lesson. It also contains ‘The Big Quiz’ which you can use once the course has been completed to help you solidify everything you’ve learned into your brain!
